General Summary: Industrial Maintenance Apprentice
The industrial maintenance apprentice position maintains and repairs various types of equipment (conveyor belts, chain and belt driven components, etc.) in a plant setting while working with industrial maintenance technicians to further develop their technical and mechanical skills and abilities. This position pays based on experience, certifications and training but generally starts at $24/hour.
Skills and Abilities
· Understanding of how to troubleshoot various types of automated manufacturing equipment
· Understanding of electrical drawings
· Ability to read and comprehend machine-specific manuals
· Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
· Experience with multi meters
· Work in all weather conditions
· Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, climb and lift 50 lbs.
